WQMS can provide assistance to all stakeholders in the structural steelwork sector in order to ensure that each company complies with their legal obligations under the Construction Products Regulations (CPR) and the standard EN 1090. The services offered by an International Welding Engineer (IWE) include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide assistance to steelwork contractors on the CE Marking requirements from an initial review right through to CE marking assessment.
  • Develop company procedures and factory production control manual(Up to Execution Class 4).
  • Develop preliminary Welding Procedure Specifications and Welding Procedure Specifications.
  • Provide Responsible Welding Coordinator services by IWE (Up to Execution Class 4).
  • Responsible Welding Coordinator training up to Execution Class 2.
  • Assist engineers and specifiers to develop steelwork specifications in compliance with the standard EN 1090.
  • Assist with the development of quality plans and inspection & testing plans to suit contract requirements.
  • Perform internal, supplier and sub-contractor audits according to ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN 1090.
  • Perform surveillance audits of steelwork contractors on behalf engineers, clients and main contractors.
  • Act as Independent Inspection Authority to ensure compliance with the Project Specification.
